Eldoret-based policewoman arrested after shooting husband twelve times over domestic dispute.

A policewoman from the Administration Police Service (APS) has been arrested on allegations of shooting and killing her husband during a domestic dispute on the outskirts of Eldoret town.

The officer, a mother of three, was working at the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) when she took her service weapon and left for home early on Sunday morning.

Witnesses reported hearing a heated argument between the couple before gunshots rang out, prompting neighbors to flee for their safety.

The policewoman allegedly fired more than 12 bullets inside their home, killing her husband.

She fled the scene after the shooting but later turned herself in at the Eldoret police station, where she was arrested.

The police statement shows that after the quarrel, the police officer left the house to report to duty in her work station which is a stone’s throw away from their home.
