KRA announces attachment opportunities; How to apply

The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has launched a three-month Industrial Attachment Programme targeting university and college students seeking practical experience in various fields.

In a statement released on Friday, November 21, the tax collection agency invited applications from continuing undergraduate students in their third, fourth, and final years, as well as diploma students in their final year, for the January to March 2026 intake.

The programme, which supports the government's Youth Initiative to develop a pool of young talent for the Kenyan labour market, aims to provide students with an opportunity to acquire practical aspects of their respective areas of specialisation in partial fulfilment of their degree requirements.

KRA is offering attachment opportunities across a wide range of departments within the Authority, covering disciplines in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Supply Chain Management, Human Resource Management, Marketing and Communication, Communications, International Relations, Diplomacy, Public Relations, Media Studies, Photography, Videography, and Film Production.

The programme also extends to students studying Animation, ICT, Telecommunications, Food and Beverage, Hotel Management, Housekeeping and Laundry Management, Records Management, Records and Archives, Library and Information Science, Security and Safety, Security Management, Criminology, Criminal Justice, and Forensics.

To qualify for the attachment programme, applicants must be Kenyan citizens below 35 years of age, be continuing first-degree students (undergraduate) in their third, fourth, and final year of study, or diploma students in their final year from a recognized university or college.

Candidates should also have a valid introduction letter from their university or college and must be available full-time for the three-month duration of the programme.

The Authority has indicated that monthly stipends of KSh 7,000 for undergraduates and KSh 5,000 for diploma students will be paid and are subject to applicable statutory deductions.

Selected candidates will be required to submit proof of a valid Personal Accident Insurance Cover, copies of KRA PIN certificate, NHIF/SHIF, NSSF, ID card, and bank account details.

The deadline for applications is Monday, November 24, 2025.

All applications must be submitted online via the process outlined on the KRA Careers page. Applicants can only apply for the opportunity after successfully registering on the authority's e-recruitment portal.

Interested candidates are encouraged to apply promptly through the KRA Careers page at www.kra.go.ke before the deadline.
