Babu Owino urges Rachel Ruto and Pastor Dorcas Gachagua to pray for their husbands, not Kenya as they’re the problem to the country.

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has come out guns blazing after his controversial arrest at JKIA on Tuesday, July 20, and the subsequent three-day torture by the police.

In a video recording dubbed “This is my message to Ruto after he arrested and falsely imprisoned me”, Babu Owino asked the spouses of William Ruto and Rigathi Gachagua to pray for their husbands.

The politician said that during their meditation, the two needed to pay closer attention to their husbands rather than the nation or the people of Kenya.

“Lastly, I want to advise Racheal Ruto and Bishop Dorcas Gachagua that you don’t need to pray for Kenya and the people, pray for your husbands because the problem is in your house not outside the door. Don’t curse the demons, just look closer, you will see them,” Babu Owino said.

Additionally, the lawmaker observed that President William Ruto was surrounded by the wrong people who informed his decision-making.

“A leader is known by the people surrounding him, if you are surrounded by four fools, you become the fifth one. If you are surrounded by four wise men, you become the fifth one. But as things are clear in black and white you are surrounded by fools. Kenya is headed in the wrong direction,” he said.

He claimed that the country was on its knees and they will continue fighting for Kenyans to ensure the cost of living is affordable to the common mwananchi.

The Embakasi East MP also opened up about his experience at the hands of the police.

Owino stated that he was handcuffed, blindfolded, and then thrown into the boot of a Subaru.

“I was handcuffed, blindfolded, and thrown in a boot of a Subaru car,” he said.

The ODM MP stated that he was driven to an unknown place and put in solitary confinement.

“For three days I was not given food, no access to my family, no access to my legal representation, I did not take a bath, I did not take water, and that was a very inhumane treatment accorded to me,” Babu said.
