Mwashetani’s appointment occurred after the revocation of Timothy Bosire’s appointment to the same post.
Bosire, a former Masaba MP, declined the job offer in January this year.
Via a gazette notice published on Friday, January 17, Ruto announced appointing Bosire, who currently serves as the ODM party national treasurer, as the non-executive chairperson of the NTSA board.
He would hold the post for three years.
However, a day after the appointment, Bosire had a consultation with leaders, family and friends and realised the decision to turn it down.
He, however expressed his gratitude to the president for having confidence in him and entrusting him with the post.
