Energy Cabinet Secretary (CS) Opiyo Wandayi has strongly criticized opposition leaders for their continued attacks on the broad-based government.

Speaking in Ugunja Constituency on Sunday, Wandayi asserted that President William Ruto is a better choice compared to opposition figures including Kalonzo Musyoka, former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, and former Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i.

He emphasized that, given the option, he would choose President William Ruto, claiming that the opposition cannot represent change nor transformation.

“If you give me a choice between Gachagua, Kalonzo, Matiang’i …etc on one side and President William Ruto on the other side, I can tell you without any fear of contradiction that I will go with Ruto any day any time,” said Wandayi.

The CS further praised the broad-based government, highlighting the support from Azimio leader Raila Odinga as instrumental in the administration’s efforts to revamp Kenya’s economy.

“The broad-based government has made great efforts to turn around the economy of this country and to make life more bearable,” he said.

Wandayi noted that the government has taken significant steps to improve the quality of life for Kenyans and urged continued public support for its initiatives.
