Speaking on Friday in Kamandura, Kiambu County, President Ruto noted that the broad-based government won all the Senate and National Assembly by-elections held on Thursday.
“Yesterday, there were by-elections across Kenya, from Mbeere to Kasipul, from Banisa to Malava.
“Out of the seven parliamentary and Senate seats, the broad-based government won all seven,” said Ruto.
The Head of State pointed out that the UDA and ODM wins in the Thursday by-elections signalled a warning by Kenyans to the united opposition to get an agenda to tell the public.
President Ruto warned the opposition that they will lose in 2027 if they continue politicking without a clear agenda.
“I already told them to look for an agenda; if they don’t, they will be late. Yesterday, the citizens repeated it and gave them a warning. They told them to get an agenda, and if it’s ‘One term, must go and Kasongo,’ they will see dust.
Further, Ruto thanked Kenyans for voting for UDA and ODM candidates in the Thursday mini polls.
“I want to thank the voters from Mbeere, Kasipul, Ugunja, Barongo, Banisa, and Malava. Thank you very much; you have assured us that you do not want tribalism,” he added.

In the Thursday by-elections, UDA’s Leonard Wamuthede garnered 15,802 votes, defeating Newton Karish, who garnered 15,308 votes in the Mbeere North.
In Malava, David Ndakwa of UDA emerged victorious, defeating Seth Panyako of DAP-K.
Alio Ahmed Maalim and Vincent Chemitei Kiprono won the Banisa constituency and Baringo Senate seats, respectively.
The ruling UDA party also won several MCA seats, including Chewani ward, Lake Zone ward, Kapng’etuny ward, Naanam ward, Purko ward and Angata Nanyokie ward.
Elsewhere, the ODM party’s Boyd Were won the Kasipul seat, defeating Philip Aroko, who was running as an independent candidate.
ODM’s Moses Omondi also won in Ugunja, while Harrison Kombe won the Magarini constituency seat.
