Private investigators claim Jirongo was not alone in the car at the time of accident

Private investigators hired by the family of former Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo have made damning revelations, raising fresh questions about the circumstances surrounding his death.

The findings claim that Jirongo was not alone in the vehicle at the time of the accident.

The family is now demanding answers, even as the government reaffirms its commitment to fast-track investigations into the road crash that claimed the former MP’s life.

Deputy Inspector General of Police Gilbert Masengeli says detectives are deploying all available methods to establish the truth behind the crash, urging Kenyans to remain patient and avoid speculation.

A second funeral service for the late Lugari MP, Cyrus Jirongo, was held on Monday at his home in Maili Saba, Kitale, Trans Nzoia County.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Inspector General Masengeli assured the nation that the government is fully committed to conducting a thorough, transparent, and speedy investigation into the fatal accident, while asking Kenyans to avoid speculation.

“As the government, we will do the needful. a forensic investigation is already underway, and we will leave no stone unturned until all the facts are established,” said Deputy Inspector General Gilbert Masengeli.

However, Jirongo’s close associates called on police to move with speed, revealing that the family has already engaged private investigators to independently establish the cause of the crash. They further claimed that the private investigators had established that Jirongo was not alone in the vehicle.
