Protesters storm newly opened UDA offices in Kisumu during the ongoing nationwide mass demonstration called by Azimio.

Anti-government protesters have vandalized the newly opened United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party office in Milimani in Kisumu. Read 

The protestors also torched two vehicles and damaged another two before making away with several items of unknown value. 

Kisumu UDA chair Eric Osenya said the protestors took their computers, laptops, cameras, seats, and curtains. 

Anti-riot police are currently engaging youth, who took to the streets to demonstrate the high cost of living, in running battles.

Meanwhile, Police officers also repelled a team of protesters who were trying to gain access to the Kisumu State Lodge.

The protestors were approaching the premise on motorbikes when officers were forced to lob teargas canisters to disperse them.

Roads leading to the premise were later barricaded, forcing protesters to retreat.
