Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has been named among potential candidates to replace Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
As revealed in the Infotrak poll released on Friday, October 11, Kenyans opined that Raila has a 2 percent chance of replacing the embattled DP.
Kenyans who believe that Raila should replace the DP cited his track record, development ideologies and integrity as strong traits.
Meanwhile, Kenyans believe that Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki has the highest chance of replacing Gachagua at 20 percent.
Other likely candidates to replace the DP should he get impeached are Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru (5 percent) and Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi (5 percent).
Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro was also listed among the potential candidates at 4 percent and Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga at 4 percent.
“20 percent of respondents indicated a preference for Prof. Kithure Kindiki as the replacement for DP. Rigathi Gachagua as Deputy President, while only 5 percent preferred Governor Anne Waiguru,” read the report in part.
