Raila through his ODM party trashes Kenya Kwanza government idea of threatening Azimio leader with ICC.

ODM secretary general Edwin Sifuna trashed remarks by National Assembly majority leader Kimani Ichung’wah on involving ICC after Azimio’s fresh demands.

In a tweet, Nairobi Senator claimed ICC can never jail anyone.

“One thing I truly admire about these Kenya Kwanza clowns like Ichung’wa is their audacity. Who are you scaring with ICC? Write all the letters you want,” he tweeted.

“If Ruto got away with all the overwhelming evidence, that court will never jail anyone. Andika barua nitakupea stamp.”

Sifuna’s remarks came after National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah on Wednesday, April 5, threatened to write to the International Criminal Court (ICC) over Azimio leader Raila Odinga’s political agenda.

Ichung’wah was dismissing the proposal by opposition chief Raila Odinga to have talks akin to the National Accord 2008.

He asserted that the ODM leader was using violence and disorder to blackmail the country and get access to the system of government.

“He is threatening that if we don’t agree to the National Accord proposal, he will continue with the mass action. We want to tell Raila that we don’t have any problems with you conducting mass demonstrations. The only caveat is you do it peacefully.

“That is why I have said I will propose an agenda to our Parliamentary Group meeting next week that we write to the ICC to take measures to ensure that Raila Odinga and his sponsors do not slide our country back into anarchy,” he said.

“We are telling Raila Odinga, your system of looting, anarchy to blackmail the country will come to an end, and not next year, not after the next elections, it will come to an end this year,” Kimani Ichung’wah stated.

Since the Pro-Azimio demonstrations began in January, both the government and opposition have at one time threatened to involve ICC in their pull and push.
