Raila lists eggs among products and services to boycott as nationwide mass protests gain momentum

Raila lists eggs among products and services to boycott as nationwide mass protests gain momentum.

Azimio leader Raila Odinga has said that he will soon unveil a number of products and services that Kenyans should boycott.

Speaking during a rally in Migori County on Friday, March 10, announced that he would give directions on the boycott of eggs and other commodities to Azimio la Umoja supporters in the coming week.

Raila said that there are a number of companies that are not correctly used.

“There are some companies that are being used badly. I will soon tell you to leave the services from that company and products. All that is coming,” Raila said.

Notably, Raila added eggs to the list of product to boycott after his supporters pressed him with loud chants

“For Eggs and other commodities, our headquarters will issue a statement on the commodities to be boycotted. Now it is time to get to work,” Raila stated.

He also explained that the companies on the list had participated in overturning the election’s victory.

Some of the companies he stated would be on the list cut across food products and the media.

“There are a number of companies that we know are being used badly and we shall tell you what to buy, which products to use, and what newspapers not to buy.

This, he stated, will go hand in hand with the protests.

On the other hand, he called his supporters to back his push aimed at holding the government to account, maintaining that the March 20 mass protests were still on.

Raila used a metaphor of a lady who offered herself as a sacrifice to bring rain to her community.

“I have said that I am ready to go for the protest on March 20. If I have to be eaten by the crocodile for it to rain, I am ready,” he insisted.

The ODM boss was in Migori County a day after he announced mass protests in Nairobi on March 20.
