Raila rebukes President Ruto with ‘Mr. Next Week’ tweet over his failure to fulfill promises he made to Kenyans.

Azimio leader Raila Odinga on Monday chided President William Ruto over his promises to lower the cost of living.

The tweet captioned ‘Mr. Next Week’ is a video with a compilation of instances where the head of state has promised that the prices of commodities and the cost of living will go down.

The compilation has an emphasis on where the president said it will happen the following week, at the time he made the addresses.

The Azimio leader and his troops have been using instances where Ruto’s promises have failed to materialize, to brand him a liar.

The video is just one of many Raila Odinga has used on his social media pages.

Following his tweet, supporters of both political divides flooded Raila’s comment section.

Raila has on many occasions dismissed President William Ruto’s government and labeled him an enemy of the Hustler Nation as well as democracy owing to the crashing taxation proposals, and what he said was a move by the Head of State to buy off opposition leaders.

The Azimio leader has accused Ruto of riding on populist agenda of uplifting the common person and small businesses.

However, upon winning the race to State House, the Azimio leader says Ruto has turned against the hustlers who supported him.

“He’s not even consulting. He is coming up with taxes which a crushing burden to the very lowly placed, on whose shoulders he campaigned,” Raila said in a past rally in Murang’a County.
