Raila updates his supportes ahead of Mega Monday protest amid government plans to disrupt the demonstrations.

Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga has just declared that his group is prepared for the upcoming ‘Mega Monday’ round of anti-government demonstrations.

Raila declared on Sunday that they are ready for the fourth nonviolent protest on Monday.

On Mondays and Thursdays, the opposition has been demonstrating in the streets.

He declared on Saturday that the demonstrations on Monday will be the largest ever.

At least 10 individuals, including police officers, have died during the demonstrations.

The Azimio leader insists that not even the police will stop their resolve to bring change to Kenya.

Raila maintains that he won the August 2022 presidential poll, but was rigged out.

He claims President William Ruto colluded with the then IEBC Commissioners who helped him to out the former Prime Minister.

“We’d like to reiterate that the collated results on this link, https://kenyaelectionresults.com, leave no room for doubt that Azimio emerged victorious in the last election. In light of this, we strongly urge Mr. Ruto to vacate his office immediately, ahead of the upcoming #MegaMonday,” Raila said in a tweet on Saturday.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua warned those who are taking advantage of the demos to destroy property.

He said Monday will be their last day to do so.

“I want to caution those young men who have been taking advantage of the violence to steal property, to mug people to loot property, Monday is your last day to do so,” he said.

The DP reiterated that the demonstrations are no longer peaceful but have turned into post-election violence.

“The laws of this country are clear this is no longer demonstrations, this is post-election violence, mugging, theft robbery including robbery with violence, those are felonies,” he said in Malava.

“If they care, look at the penal code. The consequences are extremely heavy.”
