Raila slams religious leaders accusing them of abusing the Bible and being bought to sanitize “Ruto’s dictatorship”.
In an address on February 15th, Raila Odinga charged the church for abusing the Bible and steering Kenya in the wrong direction.
According to Raila, the majority of men in clothing in the country have lost their minds and are being utilized by President William Ruto’s administration to sanitize the regime.
“All the time they’re talking about the Bible. They are being fronted by very fake religious leaders. The Bible is actually being abused in order to sanitize dictatorship which is very unfortunate. Most of our religious leaders have actually completely lost it. They have been consumed, and they are actually most being bought in order to try to sanitize a very, very unhealthy political development,” Raila said.
Raila further accused William Ruto of using the clergy to sanitize their 2022 election.
“I just want to say that the people of Kenya must remain firm. These people are trying to sanitize a lost election. An electoral theft is being sanitized, and they will begin already to use strong-hand tactics to intimidate and blackmail the people of this country.” Raila stated.

The Azimio leader warned that Kenyans were slowly losing the political gains made over the years, adding that he would not take it lightly.
“We will not take it long down. I’m not aware. I don’t have any information because there have been jumping up and down, blaming and blackmailing people all over the place that they’re going to take action against people.
We just want to tell them, bring it on. We are prepared to die in defence of the gains. You should be made by the people of Kenya. That’s a great cost that will not allow this country to slide back to a single party, one-man dictatorship in the name of God, because,” he added.
