Azimio La Umoja One Kenya demonstrators gained access to the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) ahead of mass action.
However, police lobbed teargas to disperse them even as a number of protestors were arrested.
Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna who was among leaders at the KICC urged Azimio supporters to come out in large numbers.
In CBD, a group of women demonstrators confronted police officers along City Hall in Nairobi shouting ‘tuko njaa’.
The handful of women sang and danced during the protest, chiding police who are manning the city streets to wade off protestors from accessing the CBD.
The women gathered adjacent to the county assembly.
“Tumesema bei ya unga lazima ishuke. Server ya IEBC lazima ifunguliwe,” the protesters said.

Meanwhile, Azimio leader Raila Odinga in his latest update urged Azimio supporters to turn up for the mass demonstration.
‘I am on my way,” former Prime Minister Raila Odinga assures his supporters that he is set to join the ongoing Azimio mass protests in Nairobi.
Morever, Azimio supporters have embarked on their journey towards the Central Business District CBD) where the people are assembling for the mega protests.
Hundreds of supporters gathered in various roads as they prepared to head to the city centre despite roadblocks.
