Nuru Okanga, a diehard supporter of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, has met with former DP Rigathi Gachagua.
In a post on his Facebook page, Okanga revealed that he met with the leader of the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) on Thursday, May 22.
He noted that it was a great pleasure to meet the former DP, a man he had previously criticised during his speeches in Bunge la Wananchi.
While he did not state whether he was joining the newly launched party, he mimicked the party symbol – a hand holding ears.
“Today was my pleasure meeting with DCP party leader Hon Rigathi Gachagua,” he wrote.
“After a successful meeting with DCP party leader Hon Rigathi Gachagua, I later met with Billionaire Jimmy Wanjigi and lawyer Willis AKA piki piki ponki.”

Okanga has been one of the fiercest defenders of Raila in recent years.
The outspoken politician rose to fame owing to his controversial remarks at the Bunge la Wananchi forums, which landed him in trouble with the authorities.
For instance, on separate dates in 2023 and 2024, he was arrested and charged in court for his remarks on President William Ruto.
According to the police, his remarks were false and tarnished the name of the President.
“On the 20th day of November 2023 at an unknown place within the Republic of Kenya, jointly with others not before court, using YouTube Account/Channel RIBA NEWS (ribanews) published online a video captioned … “NURU OKANGA ON FIRE!” information you knew to be false and calculated to discredit the reputation of a state officer and VI with intend to provoke a breach of the peace,” read the charge sheet in part.
