Ready to go home in 2027 if I fail Kenyans; Ruto
President William Ruto says he is ready to go home in 2027 if he fails to meet their expectations.
During his Saturday tour of Nyeri County in Othaya, President Ruto told Nyeri residents that he is ready to face his competitors at the ballot in 2027.
The president told his detractors to allow him to deliver his promises to Kenyans before they make a decision at the ballot in the next General Election.
“Tumekuja kupanga mambo ya watoto wetu; tuwachane na siasa ya kubishana, tufanye kazi. Mambo ya siasa yako na siku. Si mlitupatia kazi? Si kila mtu ako na yake? Si wakati wa mtihani utafika? Mimi nimejenga barabara, nimetengeneza kilimo… ikifika wakati wa kusahihisha mtihani, mimi niko tayari… nikipita mtihani yenu, sawa, nisipopita mtihani yenu, mimi naenda nyumbani kulima,” he said.

In his Saturday itinerary, the president made several stopovers in the County where he inspected ongoing government projects, including the construction of the 468-unit Ruring’u Affordable Housing in Nyeri Town and the Ruring’u Stadium.
He also launched government projects such as Ksh.325 million Othaya Modern Market in Nyeri, which he said would comprise 1,000 stalls, cold rooms, and ICT hubs.
