“Resign if not comfortable with ODM Party Leader Oburu Oginga” – Oketch Salah to Sifuna

Raila’s adopted son and businessman, Oketch Salah has called on ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna and other party leaders opposing Party Leader Dr. Oburu Odinga to immediately step aside from the party instead of fighting from within.

Salah argued that Sifuna was part of the team that developed ODM’s 10-point agenda and should have stepped aside earlier if he disagreed with the party’s direction.

“You cannot help craft the agenda and later pretend you were not involved. That is hypocrisy. If he wanted to resign, he should have done so long ago,” he said.

Speaking in West Pokot, Salah further called for  unity within the party while declaring support for President William Ruto’s second term, saying ODM leaders must rally behind government development efforts for Kenya to progress.

Salah said ODM’s decision to join the broad-based government had opened doors for long-awaited development in Nyanza and other regions after years in opposition.

“We were left out for many years. Now we are in government and we are beginning to see the fruits of development. That is why supporting President Ruto is not optional for us,” he said.

Salah urged ODM members who have been in the party to remain loyal, noting that key policies were developed through collective input from party officials and grassroots supporters.

“We built this agenda together. Walking away now would be abandoning our own work,” he said.

He called on ODM supporters nationwide to remain steadfast, insisting that unity was essential for national development.
