Revealed! Why Raila didn't name companies in the Azimio boycott list

Raila on Monday failed to release the names of companies he wants his supporters to boycott in his resistance movement as promised

Raila on Monday failed to release the names of companies he wants his supporters to boycott in his resistance movement as promised.

According to reports, Raila withheld the boycott list as his smoking gun in the coming days so as to keep the government guessing.

Azimio insiders revealed that the coalition’s technical team had already compiled the details of the firms to be boycotted by Azimio supporters, but Raila “strategically’ withheld it.

As he intensifies his opposition to the Kenya Kwanza government, it is anticipated that the opposition leader will provide more information soon.

As his followers were prevented from entering the Central Business District, Raila traveled across several parts of the city and announced that additional protests will be held every other Monday.

Yet, Raila failed to name the companies he had promised as he spoke to his fans in parts of Eastlands.

The ODM leader had asserted that he had a complete list of the businesses that he said had to be boycotted as they were connected to senior Kenya Kwanza officials.

While appearing on TV 47 on Saturday, Raila promised that his team had compiled a full list of the companies and which would be released on Monday.

“There are more companies that we will name on Monday… I can’t say them now but they are coming,” Raila said, only naming Safaricom.

On March 10, Raila called on his supporters to boycott the telco and also named eggs as some of the products that Kenyans should boycott in their resistance against President William Ruto’s regime.

“There are some companies that are being used badly. I will soon tell you to leave the services from that company and products. All that is coming,” Raila said in Migori.

“Eggs and other products; my team will tell you that we are not using these products.”
