Kenya continues to be drawn into the Russian-Ukraine conflict with Russia in March alleging that Kenyan mercenaries were fighting for Ukraine.
The Russian Ministry of Defence on Thursday, March 14, alleged that five Kenyans had been identified as working with Ukrainian armed forces.
This was later refuted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterating that Kenya is guided by the foreign policy of non-interference in the affairs of other states.
“Kenya rejects the allegations and dissociates herself from any alleged mercenary presence and activities in Ukraine,” Foreign Affairs Principal Secretary Korir Sing’oei stated.
