President Ruto reveals he has agreed deal with US, Germany and France for online job opportunities for Kenyan youths.

Speaking on Saturday, March 16, while addressing a rally in Bomet, Ruto said the aforementioned countries that have so far agreed to provide digital jobs for Kenyans.

He called on the youths to prepare for digital jobs even as the government continued to secure more job opportunities for the Kenyan youths.

“I have already negotiated with America, Germany and France and they have agreed to give our youths jobs on the internet, or the digital jobs,” the head of state noted.

President Ruto noted the govt was in an advanced stage of ICT hubs across the country after which Kenyans would have a chance to work online.

However, he also noted that while a section of the youths would secure online jobs, others would be allowed to work in the affordable housing projects.

“In affordable housing, we have jobs, and similarly in the ICT hubs we have jobs. I will set up computers, bring teachers and provide internet so that everyone can click the computer and earn money,” Ruto stated.

“People in Kaptengelei, prepare, as long as you get your money, you do not need to worry about other things,” he added.

In January this year, President Ruto expressed his amazement at a student who was earning a living online using the government’s Jitume ICT Laboratories.

Ruto, during his visit to Mosop, Nandi County on January 16, engaged with Brian Kipchumba, a student pursuing a diploma in ICT but also working in part-time online jobs.

The student explained that he pockets around Ksh40,000 after tax deductions, money which he uses to cater for his daily expenses.
