ICT and Digital Economy Cabinet Secretary (CS) Eliud Owalo morning death of his eldest brother.

In a post on X on Wednesday, May 29, the CS mourned Jackson Nyunja Owalo, who passed away on May 27, 2024.

“Fare thee well Jack,” Owalo posted on X.

The late Nyunja was brother to the late Emma Owalo, Jane Owalo, George Samwel Otiri Owalo, Ben Owalo, Patriciah Owalo-Ragot, Edward Peter Owalo, Eliud Okech Owalo, and Martin Omolo Owalo.

“The family of the late Nomiya Church Archbishop Most Rev. Gideon Charles Owalo regrets to announce the death of Jackson Nyunja Owalo who was the eldest son in the family,” read part of a death announcement shared by Owalo.

However, the family did not reveal the cause of the death of Nyunja, who was born on July 1, 1959.

His body is currently lying at the Agakhan Hospital Mortuary in Kisumu.

The cortege will leave Aga Khan Hospital Mortuary on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 2 pm for an overnight stay at their Gangu Village Home in Asembo.

Nyunja will then be laid to rest on Sunday, June 2, in a ceremony to be presided over by Nomiya Church under the leadership of Cardinal Archbishop Moses Okech.
