Additionally, Lengusuranga will be deputized by Colonel Damaris Agnetta from the Kenya Army too.

On Tuesday, October 4, he performed his first official job when he accompanied Ruto to Mathira, Nyeri county, for the burial of deputy president Rigathi Gachagua’s brother.

In 1999, Lengusuranga, a new Aide de Camp, was appointed to duty. He was a senior Special Forces branch commander prior to being appointed.

Agnetta, on the other hand, succeeds Racheal Nduta Kamui, who was likewise elevated to the rank of full Colonel and transferred to the Department of Defense.

In 2003, Agnetta received her commission and was working as an artillery officer. She also participated in the UN Observer Mission.

Lengusuranga will be responsible for accompanying Ruto to official functions, escorting him into the vehicle, and standing at attention and saluting the President as he gets into the backseat.

Together with Agnetta, Lengusuranga will also be part of the team that will be giving the commander-in-chief security briefs before and after state functions.

Lengusuranga and Agnetta will also be charged with carrying personnel effects such as his phone, documents, and speeches during specific occasions.

According to military protocols, every president is granted an opportunity to pick his Aide De Camp, who works closely with the Presidential Escort Unit Commander who is in charge of his security.
