Ruto continues his purge as he fires more of retired President Uhuru Kenyatta's appointees in his latest pick

Ruto continues his purge as he fires more of retired President Uhuru Kenyatta’s appointees in his latest pick.

In a gazette notice, on Friday, March 10, the head of state has appointed nine new bosses to head different state corporations.

The nine will replace Uhuru’s team.

Among the casulties is Communication strategist, Pauline Njoroge and other board members at the Tourism Regulatory Authority, whose appointments were revoked by Tourism Cabinet Secretary, Peninah Malonza, on Friday, March 10.

In a gazette notice released the same day, CS Malonza also sent home former KTN News Anchor Najma Ismail.

Other fired members included Kevin Muasya, Alais Lenana Momoi, and Isaac Muchiri Njangu.

Malonza did not make any immediate appointments to the board, nor explain reasons for releasing the board members, who were mostly allied with President (Rtd) Uhuru Kenyatta.

Other affected corporations include; the National Environmental Management Authority where Emilio Mugo will serve as the new Chairperson of the Board of Directors.

Francis Gichaba will be the chairperson of the Kenya Tourism Board, while Prof. Raphael Munuve will chair the Board of the Konza Technopolis Development Authority.
