Ruto turns guns on the Judiciary over corruption, firing a warning shot at officers who he accused of facilitating the vice.

President William Ruto has admitted that there are people in the Judiciary who are colluding with corrupt people to facilitate corruption.

Speaking on Thursday, August 31, at the Kakamega State Lodge, the President affirmed that they would deal with all the collaborators and ensure the corruption enterprise comes to an end.

Ruto accused some judges, whom he did not name, of turning the courts into a safe haven for the corrupt.

“There are people in our judicial system who are facilitating corruption by working with the corrupt, that’s why certain cases go to certain judges because they are part of the corruption enterprise,” Ruto stated.

According to the Head of State, judges at the anti-corruption court have become the weakest link in the war on graft.

He accuses them of colluding with individuals who engage in economic crimes instead of fast-tracking their cases.

“You find a judge giving funny stay orders to a corruption case…someone who has stolen public money,” the President noted.

He warned the corrupt that they could no longer hide in courts with court orders adding that they would work closely with the Judiciary to weed out those with a retrogressive approach to work.

Ruto noted that they would now allow a few individuals to ruin the future “of our children”.

“Corruption enterprise has to come to an end. We will deal with them firmly. A few people cannot stop us. We will pay the price to stop the vice,” he said.

He said his administration will crush the corruption enterprise that also has in its racket individuals from the private sector, government parastatals, and county governments.

“This is a whole enterprise…it is a whole system and we have said it has individuals from across the sectors…your time is up… pia nyinyi mtahama,” he stated.
