President Ruto lists select foreign countries which have partnered to offer Kenyans jobs in a move to solve unemployment in the country.

On Sunday, June 18, President William Ruto declared that the government has signed bilateral agreements with select foreign nations in order to export Kenya’s human capital.

Speaking in Kakamega, during a thanksgiving ceremony, Ruto declared that the program would result in the creation of one million employment for young people.

The Head of State explained that this was part of his campaign promise to end joblessness among the youth.

Kenyans will travel for work to a number of nations, including Germany, Barbados, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada.

“We have a problem with young Kenyans who do not have a job. We agreed during the campaign that we needed a plan on how to create jobs.

“This cannot happen through accident or guesswork. We must have a deliberate, intentional, and practical plan on how to make sure there are jobs for our young people,” the President stated.

To achieve his vision, Ruto announced that he had already kickstarted the process by working with relevant ministries.

“We need to use our labour to grow the economy of the country,” Ruto explained how the scheme would help the country prosper.
