‘Ruto Must Go’ chants disrupted Ababu Namwamba speech at Fred Omondi tribute show as the crowd heckled the CS.

Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba was on Friday, June 21 night heckled at the Carnivore Grounds in Nairobi.

CS Ababu was attending Fred Omondi’s Last Laugh memorial show which was hosted by Daniel Ndambuki popularly known as Churchill.

The Sports CS faced a hostile crowd moments after he was invited to the stage to give his speech.

The irate crowd booed Ababu while chanting ‘Ruto must go’. His attempts to go on with the speech were futile as the crowd became louder.

Churchill was forced to intervene to calm down the hostile crowd. However, Ababu abruptly ended his speech and left the stage.

Fred Omondi died on Saturday, June 15 after being involved in an accident near Caltex Petrol Station along Kangundo Road.

CS Ababu’s heckling came hours after Dagoretti South Member of Parliament John Kiarie was booed during a funeral ceremony.

The UDA lawmaker was also forced to cut short his speech after the mourners expressed their displeasure with him.

Kiarie has been on the spot in the past few days after he dismissed the anti-finance bill demonstrations saying they were fake.

Speaking in the National Assembly on Wednesday, June 19, Kiarie alleged that images of protests on Tuesday were doctored and did not reflect the true state of affairs.

“Photos were being taken off the internet and being edited and posed as Gen Z. I am a photo expert and I can point out to you photos that were edited to look like they were in the streets of Nairobi but they were not,” Kiarie claimed.
