National Dialogue committee drawn from Ruto and Raila camps has called for views from Kenyans on the issues agreed in the bipartisan talks

National Dialogue committee drawn from Ruto and Raila camps has called for views from Kenyans on the issues agreed in the bipartisan talks.

The National Dialogue Committee appointed by the Kenya Kwanza and Azimio la Umoja coalitions to end the political impasse has called on Kenyans to give their views on the five major issues that will guide their negotiations.

The high cost of living and other governance issues, electoral justice and related issues, enshrining funds in the Constitution, establishment of state offices and loyalty to political parties/coalitions, and the law on multiparty democracy are five key issues included in the talks.

In a notice on Friday, the talks team called on the public to submit memoranda to the National Dialogue Committee on issues of concern to Kenyans.

“By its mandate, the Committee now invites the public and stakeholders to make representations on any or all of the five issues as framed by the National Dialogue Committee,” the notice reads.
