Ruto’s economic campaign advisor collapses and dies in Nairobi

Ruto’s economic campaign advisor (one of the Kenya Kwanza key advisors collapses and dies at his house in Nairobi.

Edward Mwachinga was a member of Ruto’s economic campaign advisor in the Kenya Kwanza Alliance National Economic Task Force.

According to reports, Mwachinga, collapsed and died while in his home in Nairobi on Tuesday night, June 14.

Confirming his demise, Pamoja African Alliance Party (PAA) leader, Amason Jeffa Kingi, noted that Mwachinga had been appointed to the Kenya Kwanza Alliance National Economic Task Force where he was expected to have immense input in the movement’s direction.

He was also the Chairperson of the National Election Board of the Pamoja African Alliance Party.

“It is with a heavy heart that I received news last night of the passing on of my brother and Chairperson of the National Election Board of the Pamoja African Alliance Party, Mr Edward Mwachinga.

“Mr Edward Mwachinga had recently been appointed to the Kenya Kwanza Alliance National Economic Task Force where we envisaged immeasurable input from him,” mourned Kingi.

Edward Mwachinga had been battling heart disease for a year and has been in and out of the hospital.

Mwachinga was appointed to the position in mid-May, months after the PAA party moved to Kenya Kwanza from Azimio La Umoja.

After that, the economic task committee was given 45 days to develop manifestos that would serve as Kenya Kwanza’s blueprint if they won the president.

Prior to entering politics, Mwachinga worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers (as a tax consultant).
