President William Ruto’s daughter, Miss Charlene Ruto, who is also a youth champion and Patron of The Young Peoples Network International (TYPNI) initiative, has urged the youth to embrace creativity to shape, empower, and shape the future of Kenya.

The Young Peoples Network International (TYPNI) is a membership-based, youth-led, and youth-centred non-profit organisation.

Charlene graced the Transformation Leadership Skills Conversations Programme for 40 Presidents and Deputy Presidents from 20 counties representing the Association of County Students’ Associations of Presidents—Kenya (ACSAP-K) on Friday.

Speaking to the discourse held at the Kenya Institute of Special Education on Friday, Miss Charlene Ruto, emphasized the importance of a mindset shift for young leaders.

“Through the initiative, we are encouraged to adopt innovative approaches and critical thinking in addressing societal issues, thus igniting generations of changemakers and empowering them to shape the future together,” Charlene said.

”Kenya’s youth face significant challenges in governance, socioeconomic development, and climate resilience. Despite their active involvement in policy engagement, this leadership discourse aims to retool 40 Presidents and Deputy Presidents from 20 counties, thereby igniting a generation of change-makers and empowering them to shape the future.”
