In a strange occurrence that occurred in Sololo, Isiolo County, a son cuts her 70-year-old mother in a domestic quarrel.

In a strange occurrence that occurred in Sololo, Isiolo County, a 70-year-old woman had her throat cut during a disagreement with his son.

According to police, Safo Wako’s body was found in a in a pool of blood in the Manyatta Dibu Dadacha area.

A team of investigators that went to the scene reported that a panga, the murder weapon, was discovered near to the decapitated body.

Police moved the body to the mortuary pending the hunt for the suspected assailant.

Police claim that the deceased’s 28-year-old son is still missing following the incident.

A hunt on him is ongoing to establish the motive and take other necessary action, police said.

Elsewhere in Meru, a 35-year-old man died after a suspected assault.

Police said Julius Mutuma Mubichi was at Gaokoromone market when he was assaulted by a known person on October 9. 

He succumbed to the injuries five days later.

Meanwhile, a man hit and killed another one in a quarrel over a dog in the Mau Summit area, Nakuru County.

Kennedy Too died in hospital following a hit on his head. This is after he kicked a dog crossing the road near where he was.

The owner of the dog Wesley Bett aged 27 was angered and hit him on the forehead using a stick. 

According to police, Too collapsed, was rushed to Neema Medical Center, and was later referred to Eldama Ravine Sub County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The assailant is at large and efforts to trace him are ongoing, police said.

Elsewhere, a 25-year-old man was admitted to hospital with deep cuts after he was attacked by an assailant in the Bulla Border Point area, Mandera County.

Hassan Ibrahim Adan told police he was attacked and slashed by a man known to him after he denied him drinking water on October 12.

He said someone known to him physically entered his compound and requested some drinking water.

When informed that there was no water, the suspect drew a panga and cut Adan on the upper right hand and lower abdomen.

He then escaped to the Kenya -Somalia border.

The victim was rushed to Mandera Referral Hospital where he was admitted in a serious condition. No arrest was made.

Police said they were investigating the attack and had asked security officials in neighbouring Somalia to help get the suspect.
