Student dies after police vehicle knocked him, sped off
A student aged 19 years who was waiting to join University this year perished in a road accident after he was hit by a police vehicle at Kanga area along Migori-Rongo road.
The eye witness said the deceased, identified as Tony Onyango who was carrying a minor on a motorcycle was hit by the vehicle and died on the spot.
The eyewitnesses said the police vehicle involved in the accident sped off after the accident on Saturday evening.

Confirming the incident, South Kamagambo location chief David Onyango said the student died on the spot and the pillion passenger sustained injuries and was rushed to Rongo sub county hospital for treatment.
He said the student met his death as he was from a cyber café where he had gone to apply for a course online.
The area chief said the vehicle involved in the accident was being driven at a very high speed toward Rongo general direction.
