Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi dismisses United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Secretary General Cleophas Malala just moments after issuing a warning to party members
Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi dismisses United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Secretary General Cleophas Malala just moments after issuing a warning to party members.
In a statement on Wednesday, Sudi described Malala as a glorified MCA who is not qualified to be the Secretary General of President William Ruto’s party.
Sudi in his remarks also accused the UDA party secretary general of not matching up to the former Jubilee Party leader, Raphael Tuju.
“Elevated MCA suffering from illusory superiority, thinking he matches Raphael Tuju’s calibre,” stated Sudi.
His remarks come after Malala wrote a letter to Sudi, Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba, and Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga cautioning them to tread lightly or face disciplinary action.
“My attention has been drawn to the fact that certain individuals continue to show blatant disrespect to the party leadership, including the Presidency. This behaviour is unacceptable and will not be tolerated within the realms of our Party, read the letter in part
Additionally, Malala had cautioned Cabinet Secretaries Moses Kuria, Aisha Jumwa, and Kipchumba Murkomen from being embroiled in the political spheres.

According to Malala, the three had been engaged in politicking contrary to the law which mandates Cabinet Secretaries to refrain from active politics during their tenures.
“Hon. Moses Kuria, the Cabinet Secretary for Public Service, Gender, and Affirmative Action, your primary responsibility is to serve the people within your docket. Should you wish to engage in politics, you are welcome to resign and join the political arena,” warned Malala.
The Kapsaret legislator, Sudi was engaged in a public crossfire of words with the Deputy President during the weekend over succession squabbles for the Deputy Presidency seat.
Gachagua had accused Ruto’s allies of traversing the country to drum up support for other leaders of the UDA party and sideline him.
However, Sudi fired back stating that he couldn’t be threatened and was at liberty to traverse the country.
