Bomas management denies Uhuru Kenyatta venue to hold Jubilee party NDC claiming the site is under renovation.

Former president Uhuru Kenyatta has been dealt a blow after the Bomas of Kenya management rejected his bid to hold the Jubilee Party National Delegates Convention at the venue. 

The convention had been slated for Monday, May 22, in Uhuru’s bid to save the outfit which has been hit by repetitive leadership wrangles. 

In a statement, Bomas’ Corporate Communications Manager Gladys Kangéthe said the main auditorium had been closed for renovations.

She added that their alternative hall had already been booked by their other client. 

As a result, she regretted that they would be unable to host the NDC. 

“Our Main Auditorium, whose capacity is 2.000 pax, has been scheduled for renovation works from 16th May 2023 for Eight (8) Weeks.

As you may also be aware, we are currently hosting two Taskforce Committees dealing with known and sensitive matters of National importance while another Client has already booked our other alternative hall. 

In view of the foregoing, we are regrettably unable to host you for your NDC on 22nd May 2023,” read the statement.
