Former president Uhuru Kenyatta hits out at President William Ruto over his leadership style.

Former president Uhuru Kenyatta is not convinced that Kenya is being steered well by the current Kenya Kwanza administration.

Speaking figuratively during the burial ceremony of former Kipipiri MP Amos Kimunya’s wife, Uhuru suggested that Kenya was being driven into a ditch.

Uhuru revealed that he observes the happenings in the country’s leadership and he is often taken aback.

While juxtaposing his kind of leadership and that of President William Ruto, Uhuru stated that he was saddened.

“Nowadays I don’t talk much. I just observe things. Sometimes I hold my head in astonishment. You wonder if should you cry or laugh, but you decide to love your country because it is home,” said Uhuru.

Uhuru Kenyatta faulted the Ruto administration for decrying past mistakes instead of focusing on their deliverables.

With too much whining on the side of the government, Uhuru said, Kenya would not end in its desired place.

“During my days in office, I used to advise leaders to focus. If you are the one on the steering wheel, you focus on the journey ahead, not looking at the rear-view mirror. You will land the vehicle in a ditch,” he said.
