Irate residents torch main suspect’s house after missing dentist found dead in Elgeyo Marakwet.
Irate residents stormed and torched the house of the main suspect in the murder of a dentist whose body was found dumped in a forest in Keiyo North constituency, Elgeyo Marakwet County.
The decomposing body of Simon Cheboi, a dentist at Iten Referral Hospital, was found on Friday at 7:30pm after he went missing about a week ago.
Confirming the incident, Keiyo North Deputy Commissioner Julius Maiyo said that the main suspect, who was last seen with the deceased before his disappearance, has been apprehended to aid in investigations.

Irate residents then went to the suspect’s house and burnt it down, demanding justice to be served.
Commissioner Maiyo however discouraged residents from taking the law into their own hands, urging them always to allow police officers to execute their mandate.
“There are leads that police officers are working with and those involved will face the law,” he said.
