The body of a missing 31-year-old Kenyan woman based in Whitman, Massachusetts was on Wednesday night discovered inside a vehicle at Boston’s Logan Airport, 48 hours after she was reported missing.

According to a report by NBC Boston, Massachusetts State Police suspect that Margaret Mbitu was killed by her partner, Kevin Kang’ethe.

The man is reportedly said to have booked a flight to Kenya after the incident.

Police have obtained an arrest warrant for the 40-year-old suspect and are working with Kenya’s authorities to locate and extradite him.

Kang’ethe is believed to have fled to Kenya following the incident but area police have yet to establish the motive behind the suspected murder.

Detectives in US have since established that the car is registered to Kang’ethe, the primary suspect in the case.

Massachusetts State Police assured the public that the incident does not pose a threat to visitors at Logan Airport, as both Mbitu and Kang’ethe knew each other.
