A woman was stabbed to death in Mumias after a disagreement with her neighbour while queuing to fetch water from a tap in the Camcon settlement.
According to reports, Ms. Brenda Alele, 37, got into a fight with her neighbor about who was to fetch water first.

Mumias West sub-county police commander Stephen Muoni said the 27-year-old suspect, who is in custody, rushed to her house before coming out with a kitchen knife and stabbing the victim twice in the neck and back.
“The victim was rushed to Mumias Level Four Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
The suspect will be charged with murder,” said Mr Muoni.
