Liverpool confident Naby Keita will agree to the contract terms

Liverpool are increasingly confident Naby Keita will agree to the contract terms to secure his future at Anfield.

Given that Naby Keita’s contract at Anfield is set to expire in the summer, Liverpool are reportedly in “talks” with him about extending his Anfield stay.

Keita, who has yet to play for Jurgen Klopp’s team this year, was rumored to be dissatisfied with his circumstances at Liverpool and open to a move elsewhere in the summer.

Despite Keita reportedly wanting to leave Anfield in the summer, the Reds would like to attempt and secure the midfielder’s long-term.

However, Football Insider claims that Liverpool are “increasingly confident” in keeping Keita at Anfield despite reports that clubs like Borussia Dortmund and his old team Leipzig are interested in making a transfer.

After paying over £50 million for Keita in 2017, he eventually joined the club a year later as the deal with RB Leipzig was struck in advance for one of the Bundesliga’s most exciting players.

The Guinean arrived on Merseyside with plenty of promise and has shown flashes of what he can offer, but Keita has struggled for fitness and consistency with being named in the starting XI.
