Chelsea manager Graham Potter comments on renewed Ronaldo’s link
Chelsea manager Graham Potter comments on renewed Ronaldo’s link to Stamford Bridge in January transfer.
Graham Potter has responded to rumors that Man Utd forward Cristiano Ronaldo may be moving to Stamford Bridge in the January transfer.
Growing rumors suggest that Ronaldo will attempt to force a transfer away from Old Trafford in January, which is only four months away.
The Portugal international has essentially become a bench warmer under Erik ten Hag after failing to find a new club in the summer.
In light of Chelsea’s summer interest in Ronaldo, Chelsea manager Graham Potter was questioned about the potential of a Ronaldo signing before Chelsea’s Champions League match against AC Milan.
He replied: “Again, we can spend all day asking these questions and I’m not going to speak about anyone else out of the greatest respect for the person you mentioned, and anybody else that anybody else mentions.
“Whilst they’re not our players I don’t speak about them.”
However, tt seems doubtful that Man United, who view Chelsea as one of their competitors in the Premier League, would permit Ronaldo to join them if they were willing to let him depart.
