Arsenal invincible and forgotten former Arsenal player and goalkeeper, Rami Shaaban, now sells fruit and vegetables in his native Sweden having retired from professional football in 2012.

The retired Swedish goalkeeper spent two seasons with Arsenal from 2002 to 2004 and made a total of five appearances between the sticks under Arsene Wenger.

Shaaban was a member of the Invincibles team, but after being loaned to West Ham United in the middle of the season, he fell short of the requirement to be awarded a Premier League winners medal.

After retiring from professional football in 2012, Shaaban launched his own fruit and veg business in his native Sweden, called Rami Fresh.

The company specializes in the supply of fruit and veg in Sweden, providing products from a farm in Egypt, where members of Shaaban’s family originally hail from.

Both Shaaban and Rami Fresh’s social media feeds feature a number of images of the former goalkeeper showing off his company’s products.

Having joined Arsenal from Djurgarden in 2002, Shaaban went on to make five appearances during the following season across the Premier League and Champions League.

He kept two clean sheets for the club, including in a 3-0 win over north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in November 2002, a game that featured Thierry Henry’s iconic knee slide celebration.

Shaaban still follows the Gunners almost two decades after leaving the club and shared a pic of that Henry celebration after last weekend’s derby win.

Posting the image on Instagram, he wrote: “It’s this kind of day today!”

Following the end of his loan spell at West Ham, Shaaban was released by Arsenal in 2004 but went on to remain in England with Brighton & Hove Albion.

He would later return to Scandinavia, firstly with Norwegian side Fredrikstad before ending his career in Sweden with Hammarby.

Capped 16 times by his country, Shaaban made one appearance at the 2006 World Cup and was also in the Sweden squad for the European Championships two years later.
