Manchester City joins the race to sign ‘incredible’ player described by Haaland as ‘biggest talent’
Manchester City joins the race to sign Youssoufa Moukoko as they set sights on beating Liverpool to his signature.
The Sky Blues have had a fantastic start to the 2022/2023 Premier League season as Pep Guardiola’s team looks to defend their domestic championship for a third straight year.
No team in the top flight has scored more goals than City, who only lost to their bitter rivals Liverpool at Anfield.
Erling Haaland, a summer acquisition, is currently dominating England.
However, there have been rumors that the Blues may still be looking for new players, with links to players like Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham among others appearing.
As news of an update involving another Dortmund star emerges, Football Insider reports that City have now “set sights on beating Liverpool” to a new target.
It is believed club chiefs and the Manchester City recruitment team are eyeing a move for Moukoko as they join the race for his signature.
Guardiola’s side are now ‘targeting the forward’ who has earned rave reviews from their star striker Haaland in the past.
Moukoko attracted praise from Haaland in recent years with the Norway international once calling him the ‘biggest talent in the world’.
Over his 11 Bundesliga appearances for Dortmund this season, the scintillating 17-year-old has netted four goals whilst assisting three others – totaling a brilliant seven goal contributions in total.
Going by the numbers, Haaland’s verdict certainly still adds up, leaving little wonder City have taken a serious interest.
