Impeached Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza has broken her silence after the Senate upheld her ouster on Tuesday, August 20.
In a heartfelt message on Wednesday, August 21, Mwangaza expressed her faith and optimism despite the political setback.
The now-former county boss further encouraged her followers to remain steadfast, promising that doors of blessings and opportunities would open and that divine intervention would bring transformation to their lives.
“Today, the Lord will fight for you & your household, he will give you permanent victory in every area of your life. A new beginning of victorious living is starting for you & you shall have great testimonies, every doors of blessings, greatness shut at you, shall be open, every missed opportunities shall be restored, divine visit from heaven that will change all ugly situations in your life to beautiful in your life will manifest today,” Mwangaza remarked.
Mwangaza was impeached by the Senate on grounds of gross violation of the constitution, misconduct, and abuse of office.

On the first, she was accused of gross violation of the constitution and other laws, with 26 senators voting yes, 4 voting no, and 14 abstaining.
On the second charge of gross misconduct against the former governor, 26 senators voted yes, 2 voted no, and 14 abstained.
On the third charge of abuse of office against her, 27 senators voted yes, 1 voted no, and 14 abstained.
“The Senate has tonight voted to uphold the decision of the County Assembly of Meru to remove from office by way of impeachment, the Governor of Meru County, Kawira Mwangaza,” Senate Speaker Amason Kingi announced.
The former governor previously survived two impeachment motions in the Senate.
