The selection panel for the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party deputy president has chosen three candidates from whom Raila Odinga’s running mate would be chosen.
Narc-Kenya leader Martha Karua, former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth, and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka were identified in that order.
The order could imply Karua is the most preferred candidate to be Raila Odinga’s Running Mate in the August 9 General Election.
The chairman of the selection panel, Dr. Noah Wekesa, yesterday revealed that his committee had completed the task and would submit three names to Mr. Odinga for consideration.
Dr. Wekesa did not divulge the names as Raila Odinga was away at the coast on a campaign trail.

However, the Daily Nation reported that the team had settled on Martha Karua, Peter Kenneth, and Kalonzo Musyoka as the best choices.
“We shall give the names of Martha, Peter, and Kalonzo to the candidate for his final decision,” Nation reported.
The three names are likely to present a fresh headache for Mr. Odinga, with the consideration of the Mt Kenya factor and Mr. Musyoka’s Ukambani backyard still expected to play out.
Other candidates who were interviewed for the running mate position are Hassan Joho, Wycliffe Oparanya, Charity Ngilu, Peter Munya, Sabina Chege, Stephen Tarus, and Lee Kinyanjui.
