Uhuru-Ruto Avoid Eye Contact at National Prayer Breakfast held on Thursday, May 26 at the Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi.
Both President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Samoei Ruto attended the National Prayer Breakfast.
However, despite being a prayer meeting, it’s the seating arrangement that was the talk in town.
President Uhuru Kenyatta shared the table with Chief Justice Martha Koome and Attorney General Paul Kihara.
DP Ruto was seated at some distance with the National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi and Senate Speaker Ken Lusaka.
The seating arrangement was a stark contrast with the previous prayer meetings where both President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy would share a common table.
Also was also evident that Uhuru-Ruto avoided each other’s eye contact as seen in the live stream of the event.
Uhuru looked away when Ruto gazed at the place he was sitting and vice versa.

Even at the National Prayer Breakfast President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto can not share the same table. The two leaders should find time and explain to the nation what happened to their political love. #NationalPrayerBreakfast
