Ronaldo Forces Man United to Act After Behind the Scenes Complaints

Ronaldo forces Man United to act after behind-the-scenes complaints on the club’s training ground swimming pool, according to reports.

Cristiano Ronaldo has forced Man United to Club’s training ground swimming pool, according to reports.

According to The Mirror, Ronaldo complained that United’s swimming pool was ‘old’ and a ‘health hazard’.

He apparently told bosses at the club’s Carrington training complex that he didn’t want to use either the main or plunge pool.

This was supposedly due to “loose, chipped, and missing tiles” posing a threat.

Ronaldo demanded that the pools be re-tiled and refurbished, saying that he was surprised they hadn’t changed since Sir Alex Ferguson was in charge.

United’s top brass took his accusations seriously behind the scenes.

The pools will be improved in preparation for pre-season, with players in the squad expected to return in July.

Since his return from Juventus in the summer transfer window, Ronaldo has been dissatisfied with the amenities at United.

And it’s stated the pools have been on his ‘hit list’ in the short time since.

Ronaldo’s rented home in Cheshire apparently has an indoor swimming pool so he didn’t have to use the one at Carrington.

United apparently spent around £200,000 installing a new boiler after the old one impacted the training ground last winter.

And their current facilities are believed to pale in comparison to the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool, and Tottenham.

Last year, United applied for planning permission to build new changing rooms, offices, gyms and catering areas at Carrington.

A source is quoted as saying: “Cristiano is an important voice at the training ground.

“In the past players might have said something but nothing happened.

“If Cristiano speaks up, people listen, take notice and things tend to change!”
