‘We want a decisive victory for Ruto in 2027’ – Mudavadi
Musalia Mudavadi has said the campaign team for President William Ruto’s re-election bid is working on increasing his margin of victory come 2027.

Mudavadi said he is not worried about President Ruto’s re-election but focus is on widening the voter margin by which Ruto will defeat his opponents.
“As we focus the debate on President Ruto’s win we should move the debate beyond two-term. The debate Kenyans should be having is what is going to be the margin of victory between President Ruto as our candidate na wale wengine.” said Mudavadi.
Mudavadi said the team that will spearhead Ruto’s campaign will make sure Kenyans turn out in large numbers to give Ruto a decisive win.
He said he will actively mobilise support in Ruto’s 2027 re-election bid.
“We want a resounding and decisive victory for President Ruto. A victory that cannot be disputed, one that speaks once, speaks loud and clear,” said Mudavadi.
“Tunataka zile kura mheshimiwa Rais atapata kwa debe isipatie mtu yeyote nafasi ya kukataa matokeo, hata yule anafikiria ataenda kortini akome na ajifiche.” Mudavadi added.
He was speaking in Kilgoris, Narok County where he led a fundraiser for the local churches in the region during a thanksgiving service that was organized by the Principal Secretary for Tourism John Ololtuaa.
He emphasized on the need for peace in the country ahead of the 2027 polls saying Kenyans should keenly appreciate the economic value of peace.

He described as disheartening situation which is currently happening in the Middle East and other regions that are experiencing conflicts.
“As the Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, I have first-hand experience from the tours I make around the world.
What other countries are going through in the absence of peace is heartbreaking.” Mudavadi warned.
Mudavadi said the conflicts have resulted in significant loss of life, and widespread displacement of populations impacting negatively on key infrastructure including airports.
“When we focus on development but disregard peace then the infrastructure will mean nothing.

Mudavadi revealed that Kenya’s economy continues to stabilize under President Ruto’s administration saying a survey by the African Union shows 29 countries in Africa whose currency has depreciated against the world major currencies and those countries are now undergoing economic resurgence.
“I am happy to report that Kenya is not among those 29 countries, meaning we are safe within the current economic parameters, thanks to the leadership of President Ruto and his administration,” said Mudavadi.
