DCP official arraigned in Kajiado over narcotics and ammunition possession
Stanley Kimure, an aide to former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) Director for Political Affairs, has been charged at the Kajiado Law Courts.
Kimure, who was allegedly abducted in Kiambu County yesterday faces charges of possession of narcotics and ammunition.
Chief Magistrate Roselyne Oganyo released him on a bond of KSh 150,000 with a surety of a similar amount.
Oganyo directed that preliminary objections presented by the defense team that the court have no moral authority to rule or the case will be heard on 15th April.

His lawyers, led by Ndegwa Njiru, protested the charges, terming the arrest politically motivated.
They argued that Kimure should have been charged in the area where he was arrested rather than being transferred.
The defense further claimed that he was held incommunicado at Isinya Police Station before being presented at the Kajiado Law Courts late Thursday evening.
Kimure who did not take plea is expected to spend the night at Kajiado Police Station awaiting the processing of his bond.
Reports indicate that at the time of the alleged abduction, he was in the company of Embakasi West Mp Mark Mwenje, who reported the incident.
