Degree saga among politicians continues as it is revealed that Wavinya Ndeti studied a degree in computer science in 10 months
The queries on the validity of degrees held by Kenyan politicians continue as they seek IEBC clearance for the August elections.
On Thursday, Machakos Wiper Governor candidate Wavinya Ndeti shared a letter from the University of London South Bank to confirm she is their alumn.
“We hope that this will adequately dispel the baseless propaganda being peddled by our clumsy competitors and silence naysayers,” she said in a Facebook post that she has already deleted.
“We are soldiering on undeterred by their nuisance and sideshows. Our focus is to win and deliver for the people of Machakos County.”
The move came amid queries on the validity of her degree.
However, the letter she shared indicated that she pursued a computer science degree from September 1994 to July 1995, a period of only 10 months.
Typically, a degree program in Kenya takes four years, with the exception of engineering and medical programs, which last five and six years, respectively.
