I can advise on how to become president but if you don’t listen, Karua will be president before you, Atwoli to Ruto
Atwoli has offered to advise Deputy President William Ruto on how to become president warning him he might suffer in the cold if he doesn’t choose good advice.
Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary-General, Francis Atwoli, while speaking during an interview with NTV on Thursday, June 16, acknowledged that the DP had the stature of becoming a Head of State describing him as a shrewd politician.
He did say, however, that the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) presidential nominee was surrounded by the wrong advisers.
“If Ruto comes to me for help, I will help him greatly. He is a very good leader and he is shrewd. What he is lacking is good advisors and is very much chest-thumping.
“I will advise him correctly on how to become a president and I can tell you for sure he will become a president, but if he still calls me mzee wa nyororo (the man with chains) he will still languish in those problems,” he stated.
Atwoli further warned Ruto to be careful in his political tactics warning that, Martha Karua, had more chances of ascending to the top seat before him.
“If he is not careful, Raila will hand over this government to the first woman to be a president of the Republic of Kenya and that will be Marth Karua.
“Karua will become president before him if Ruto still calls me mtu wa nyororo. I can assure you that.”
